Mr. M.A.Malik

Mr. Malik joined the erstwhile Civil Service of Pakistan (CSP) in 1963. In his long career in civil service spanning over 38 years, Mr. Malik held many senior & key positions in a wide range of areas including in the ministries of finance, commerce, industries and also in public corporate sector, diplomacy and international organization. Mr. Malik served as secretary to the government in the ministries of (1) Water Resource Development (2) Ports, Shipping & IWT and (3) Defense. He also served as Controller of Capital Issues (predecessor entity of Security & Exchange Commission) during the formative stage of capital market development in Bangladesh (1975-80), and chairman Tariff Commission. He held the position of chairman (CEO) of BADC and BJMC.

In addition to his normal responsibilities of office in the bureaucracy, Mr.Malik served as director on the board of the following corporations/companies, banks & financial institutions: (1) Sadharn Bima Corporation (2) Jiban Bima Corporation (3) Bangladesh Shilpa Bank (4) Banngladesh Shilpa Rin Shangstha (5) Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (6) Bangladesh Krishi Bank (7) Pubali Bank Ltd (8) Bangladesh ServicesLtd (9) Bangladesh Oxygen Ltd (10) National Tea Co.Ltd.
